Why is my Adobe Bridge crashing?
Bridge could open slowly or crash when trying to read a corrupted folder or corrupted images within a folder. Changing the folder that Adobe Bridge opens with could speed up the startup process or alleviate crashes. Reset the Adobe Bridge preferences to force Bridge to open to the desktop.
What happened to Adobe Bridge?
Well, it used to be (with CS6 and older) that Adobe Bridge was bundled together with paid programs like Photoshop and After Effects. But Adobe decided to unbundle Bridge and make it a separate download for Creative Cloud, so now this product doesn't even require a paid subscription.
