Can Googlebot access my site?

Googlebot isn't blocked (it can find and access the page)

How do you check if Google has crawled my site?

For a definitive test of whether your URL is appearing, search for the page URL on Google. The "Last crawl" date in the Page availability section shows the date when the page used to generate this information was crawled.

How do I verify Googlebot and other Google crawlers?

Use command line tools

Verify that the domain name is either googlebot.com or google.com . Run a forward DNS lookup on the domain name retrieved in step 1 using the host command on the retrieved domain name. Verify that it's the same as the original accessing IP address from your logs.

Does Google allow crawlers?

Google can't index images and videos without crawling them. For example, disallow for crawling all .gif files. This implementation hides your pages from search results, but the Mediapartners-Google web crawler can still analyze them to decide what ads to show visitors on your site.

How do I know if a URL is safe?

Use a website safety checker

To find out if a link is safe, just copy/paste the URL into the search box and hit Enter. Google Safe Browsing's URL checker will test the link and report back on the site's legitimacy and reputation in just seconds. It's that easy to use Google's URL scanner.

Why did Google stop crawling my site?

Did you recently create the page or request indexing? It can take time for Google to index your page; allow at least a week after submitting a sitemap or a submit to index request before assuming a problem. If your page or site change is recent, check back in a week to see if it is still missing.

How do you tell if a site is indexed by Google?

Log into Google Search Console.

Go to “URL inspection” in the left menu. Copy the URL you'd like indexed and enter it into the search field. If that page is indexed, it'll say “URL is on Google.”
