For ext3 and ext4 file systems that use a journal, if the system has been shut down uncleanly without any errors, normally, after replaying the committed transactions in the journal, the file system should be marked as clean.

fsck check is typically forced during reboot on your Linux installation if the boot process detects any issues with your hard drive or file system. In essence, it is the Linux equivalent of chkdisk. To skip it once, you simply need to add fastboot to boot options in GRUB.
