Should I turn on Google Safe Browsing?
To be even more secure while browsing the web in Chrome, turn on Enhanced Safe Browsing protection in your Chrome settings. It substantially increases protection from dangerous websites and downloads by sharing real-time data with Safe Browsing.
Where is the Safe Browsing feature in Chrome?
It's available for the Android edition of Chrome as well: From the app, tap the three dots (top right), then Settings, Privacy and security, and Safe Browsing to turn it on. Changing the safety setting only affects your current, local browser.
What happens if SafeSearch is on?
When SafeSearch is on, it helps hide explicit content on Search. When SafeSearch is off, you'll see the most relevant results for your search, which may include explicit content like images of violence.
Is Safe Browsing really safe?
Any time Safe Browsing sends data back to Google, the information is only used to flag malicious activity and is never used anywhere else at Google.
Why does SafeSearch turn off?
SafeSearch might be locked by the device or network that you're on. For example, SafeSearch can be built-in to public Wi-Fi networks, operating system family protection settings, or antivirus software. In these cases, those settings might override your individual SafeSearch setting.
