Save a file
- Select Save . Or select File > Save As.
- Select where you want to save the file. You can save to your computer, OneDrive, or another location. Save your files to OneDrive if you'd like to get to them anywhere - on your computer, tablet, or phone.
- Enter a meaningful, descriptive file name.
- Select Save.
How do I save files to my desktop?
You may also save a file to the Windows desktop by selecting the Desktop option on the left side of the Save As window.
How do you save a document on a laptop keyboard?
Tip: To quickly save a file, press Ctrl+S. Save a file with the default values. This option is available when the AutoSave option is not selected. Open the Save or Save As page.
