Does Linux support multiple monitors?

Depending on your distro, yes. I've had a dual-screen configuration on my Ubuntu system for a few years now with no issue. You will likely need to install the proprietary drivers to have access to it, but that's not too hard. The main limitation will be whether or not your video card can support multiple monitors.

Can you have 2 main displays?

Set the Primary and Secondary Monitor

From the display, select the monitor you wish to be your main display. Check the box that says "Make this my main display." The other monitor will automatically become the secondary display.
