What is Psad test?

The PSA density (PSAD) is sometimes used for men with large prostate glands to try to adjust for this. The doctor measures the volume (size) of the prostate gland with transrectal ultrasound (discussed in Tests to Diagnose and Stage Prostate Cancer) and divides the PSA number by the prostate volume.
