How does Steam hardware survey work?
Every few months we run a hardware survey on Steam. If you participate, the survey collects data about what kinds of computer hardware and system software you're using, and the results get sent to Steam.
What is valve hardware survey Steam?
Steam conducts a monthly survey to collect data about what kinds of computer hardware and software our customers are using. Participation in the survey is optional, and anonymous.
Is Steam Survey safe?
There is nothing to worry about. Even if you do take the survey, it is no personal data with no way for them to tie it to your account. It's an anonymous, opt-in survey. If you don't feel comfortable participating, then don't.
How do I stop Steam data collection?
You can prevent the processing of your data in this way by turning off the automatic loading of the Steam store page and of Steam notifications in the "Interface" section of the Steam Client settings.
Why do I need to spend $5 on Steam?
Note 2: You don't pay $5 to add friends. You put in $5 to get games or get Steam wallet money or even game gifts.
