Tableau Bridge is client software that runs on a machine in your network. The client works in conjunction with Tableau Cloud to keep data sources that connect to private network data, which Tableau Cloud can't reach directly, up to date. Private network data includes on-premises data and virtual cloud data.
How do I connect to Tableau bridge?
Select Server in the main menu and then “Start Tableau Bridge Client”. Tableau Bridge is already installed when you install Tableau Desktop so we just need to start it up. You will be asked to sign into your Online site with Tableau Bridge. Once started, you should see the Tableau Bridge icon in your system tray.
