Does Videojs support audio?

Audio tracks are supported in Video. js's MSE playback engine for HLS and DASH. Safari also supports audio tracks for native playback of HLS and MP4. Other browsers do not support audio tracks for native playback including MP4, so it is not possible to work with MP4 audio tracks in Chrome or Firefox for example.

What is Videojs?

Video.js is a web video player built from the ground up for an HTML5 world. It supports HTML5 video and modern streaming formats, as well as YouTube, Vimeo, and even Flash (through plugins, more on that later). It supports video playback on desktop and mobile devices.

Can Videojs play HLS?

Video. js supports HLS. It will play using native support if the HTML5 element supports HLS (e.g. Safari, iOS, legacy Edge, or Chrome for Android). On other browsers, it will play using our playback engine videojs-http-streaming.

We have been thinking about this addition for some time, and with the help of one of our partners, we built the WebRTC support for Video. js. Video. js is a web video player built from the ground up for an HTML5 world.

What format does Videojs support?

Video. js 7+ supports HLS and MPEG-DASH as standard as it includes http-streaming, which uses Media Source Extensions to play these formats in modern browsers. If choosing a single format, HLS is more convenient as iOS and some Android browsers which do not support MSE do have native HLS support.

How to autoplay videojs?

There are two ways to enable autoplay when using Video. js: Use the autoplay attribute on either the <video> element or the new <video-js> element.

What aspect ratio is Videojs?

vjs-fluid turns on the general fluid mode which will wait for the video to load to calculate the aspect ratio of the video. Alternatively, because 16:9, 4:3, 9:16 and 1:1 aspect ratios are so common, we provided them as classes by default for you to use if you know that your videos are 16:9 or , 4:3, 9:16 or 1:1.
